The stories in this book are based upon actual experiences that happened to people much like yourself. As you read, you will share in their joys and sorrows, acceptances and rejections, questions and answers, victories and defeats, and other of the many situations of which life consists.

As you journey with them through their struggles and temptations, and listen in on the guidance and instructions which they receive, may you find, with them, the answers to the longings of your own heart.

We do not wish to leave you under the impression that there is always and easy answer to the complexities of life. There may not be a simple solution. The finding of that right solution often lies in learning to be and not to be according to the Word of God.

The doing for Him dare not be overlooked—indeed it is vital. But it is useless without the being. The proper being in your heart will set the doing in motion in your life and conduct. But the doing without the being will avail nothing, in this life or in the life to come.
