Stream of Time

The young couple thought they were facing a lot of challenges in being among the first settlers in Penn Valley, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in the early 1950’s. This was the first daughter settlement for the Old Order Mennonites in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Groffdale Conference.
God had great challenges ahead when they were given two retarded children to care for. (The term ‘special needs’ was not yet invented) Questions abounded when the first one arrived in 1956. Even the doctor did not know what to expect and advised them to place her in an institution. They were only the second family known to have this condition
It is a wise Creator that hides the future from His mortals and gives life to them only one day at a time.
