Living Waters is hiring a Financial Controller. This is a newly created position with responsibility for the finances of the whole organization — retail, online and wholesale — rather than a single department.
About the role
As Controller you will own the day-to-day accounting and the reporting that the leadership team relies on to make decisions. Because the position is new, you will have real influence over how the function is built: the processes, the reporting calendar and the controls are all yours to shape.
What you will be doing
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting across all areas of Living Waters, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Handling bank and account reconciliations, and keeping the books audit-ready
- Managing budgeting and cash flow, and flagging issues before they become problems
- Preparing remittances and filings, and acting as our point of contact for outside accountants
- Building the reporting that helps leadership understand how each part of the business is performing
- Reviewing and improving internal controls and financial processes as the role takes shape
What we are looking for
Prior experience in accounting or financial management is genuinely helpful, and an accounting designation or relevant education is an asset. But the most important thing is a willingness to learn quickly. If you are capable, organized and eager to take ownership, we would rather hear from you than not.

- Hours: Full-time is ideal, though we are open to discussing the right arrangement for the right person
