Nathan Yoder’s 9,230-mile biking excursion to Alaska and back was about more than just riding his two wheeled companion, Stella. It was about overcoming a life-changing health diagnosis, Along the way, he encountered adventures by day and by night- sleeping under the stars, in an abandoned school bus, in a deserted house, and even on top of dried out cow manure in an old barn. Each hardship made him even more determined to achieve his dream.
Could he do it? Was it possible for a diabetic to accomplish such a feat? Or would he die somewhere in the wilderness? Ride along as adventurous 27-year-old thwarts the challenges of his Type 1 diabetes, and watch his worldview changes one pedal at a time.
