Baby John is born a special child too, just like Dannie and Fannie. Sara hardly sleeps at all the first night. Tears and more tears flow. Would the light of hope never break on a brighter future? Would morning in her heart never come?

Paul and Sara know they will love this baby dearly, even if he is not a normal, growing boy. They know, too, the many, many struggles they will have to go through, the tearing at their heartstrings.

But God’s tender loving kindness is always there for them, and Paul and Sara experience the blessings of submission. Life goes on, day by day… some sunny, some rainy. Their lives take on a rainbow colored hue, all because of the sunshine and rain.
