Bev. Looking Back. Moving Forward

A mere three pounds, nine ounces at birth, Beverly Irene Marcelline is not expected to survive. After numerous hospitalizations and repeated medical intervention, doctors show grave concern for Bev’s intellectual and physical development. The parents, a mixed race, unmarried couple in the early 60s, end up having to make a tough decision. Bev becomes a Crown Ward then a whole new world opens up. From foster homes to institutions, Bev has seen it all. Yet this miracle baby grows up, defying all odds. She not only survives, she thrives. God has big plans for this little girl. When Bev finally finds her forever home, life seems good. A family that loves her. Parents that want her. A community that accepts her. But Bev is scarred and sometimes the pain runs deep and the hurt presents as behaviour issues. Then love steps in, and Bev eventually realizes that God has blessed her far beyond anything she could have ever imagined.
