Model Set BMW i8 – Revell Model

The BMW i8 embodies a forward-looking sports car with the latest, revolutionary technology. The rear axle of the plug-in hybrid is powered by a 3-cylinder engine that has a displacement of just 1.5 liters but produces a whopping 170 kW (231 hp) of power and 320 Nm of torque under the pressure of two turbochargers. The front axle draws its power from an electric motor that delivers 96 kW (131 hp). Thanks to intelligent energy management, the interaction of both engine types is optimally coordinated. The result is genuine sports car performance with the fuel consumption and emission levels of a compact car. The i8 accelerates from 0 to 100 in just 4.4 seconds and reaches BMW’s usual top speed of 250 km/h.
