Volume 1: History and Translations of Ausbund Hymns. The purpose of this book is to better understand the Ausbund songs and their message. It is not a hymnal, since the translations are not metered to be sung. We hope it will allow the reader to understand the beliefs and sufferings of their writer. These songs are the footprints of their lives and faith, given from their hearts, often in times of suffering.
