Stephen – A Life Redeemed

Excommunicated.
The words struck him like a hurled stone.
For what? For doing something I didn’t even want to do?
Stephen seethed. He felt a hardness creep into his soul.
He had no way of knowing he had come to a crossroads in his life.
Two ways lay before him- the path of excepting his own guilt, leading to forgiveness and healing; or a path of bitterness and rebellion that would ultimately lead him far from his roots and nearly destroy his own soul.
Which way would he choose?
